returned to form from out of blue to win for the first time over fences, a positive ride paying dividends in a race he could dominate, value extra over the placed horses, though the bare form looks weak; made running, jumped left, travelled well, pushed along 4 out, joined when left in front again next, blundered last, all out to hold on, tired at the finish.

well backed under amateur, failed to repeat the form he seemed to be showing on chasing debut, potentially thrown-in judged on that though hard to find excuses, if anything flattered by his proximity to the winner at the line; mid-division, not always fluent, pushed along 5 out, outpaced early in straight, rallied 2 out, kept on.

seemed to run creditably but was probably flattered; held up, went in snatches, outpaced home turn, plenty to do 4 out, late headway.

looks on a fair mark and shaped better than the bare result after 8 months off, lack of fitness and/or stamina possibly behind his late wilting, though mistakes were likely taking their toll as well; raced wide, held up, mistakes seventh, eighth, headway 5 out, chased leaders next, weakened 2 out; worth another chance, though room for improvement in jumping.

was well held and gave a firm reminder why he's not one to trust; reluctant start and lost many lengths, soon detached, went in snatches, driven 5 out, some headway from 3 out, not sustain effort.

was in process of running well when departing, the step back up in trip probably a help; chased leader, pushed along before 4 out, challenged there, upsides when unseated rider next, arguably looking the winner at the time for all there was more than 3f left to run; there's an ordinary handicap chase in him on this evidence.

A weak handicap and potentially muddling form, the second and third looking flattered to get so close to the tiring winner after that one had set a strong gallop, while Whiskey Chaser was upsides when unseating his rider 3 out.
