after 8 weeks off, was all the rage in the betting with her stable in good nick and her Ascot form there for all to see, not needing to improve on her bare form to resume winning ways, though better than this as she was no more than pushed out firmly; handy, travelled fluently, shaken up over 1f out, stayed on to lead final 100 yds; she should be fresher than many sprinters this back-end, this just her sixth race of the season, but she has produced her best efforts on good going or firmer should ground conditions finally start to turn in the last six weeks of the turf campaign.

A useful sprint handicap and, though the paucity of runners obviously rendered it less competitive than many for the grade, the result makes plenty of sense.

MILLY'S GIFT after 8 weeks off, was all the rage in the betting with her stable in good nick and her Ascot form there for all to see, not needing to improve on her bare form to resume winning ways, though better than this as she was no more than pushed out firmly; handy, travelled fluently, shaken up over 1f out, stayed on to lead final 100 yds; she should be fresher than many sprinters this back-end, this just her sixth race of the season, but she has produced her best efforts on good going or firmer should ground conditions finally start to turn in the last six weeks of the turf campaign.

TAAJUB (IRE) is going through a good spell at the moment; hampered start, soon behind, good headway entering final 1f, finished well.

EXTRASOLAR had Richard Hughes in the saddle for the first time and ran well, as on his previous start edging ahead approaching the final 1f before having to give way to a couple of stronger finishers in the final 100 yds.

MAJOR CRISPIES was having his first try at 5f and ran one of his better races, coping perfectly well with the trip; tracked pace, pushed along over 2f out, kept on.

SILVANUS (IRE) ran respectably but is currently summed up by handicap mark; forced pace, headed approaching final 1f, not quicken.

SMART DAISY K was strictly below her best but this was her fourth race in little more than a month since her return from a lengthy absence and she appeals as the sort to bounce back quickly having given way only very late; close up, travelled fluently, upsides approaching final 1f, weakened final 100 yds.

TOP BOY seems to be in a lull for now; held up, brief headway approaching final 1f, not sustain effort.
