showed improved form to get off the mark and did well under the circumstances considering he was never far off a strong pace; close up, travelled strongly, led over 1f out, just held on from one that came from last place; all speed, he's likely to prove best at 5f and is expected to go well again.

looked on a stiff mark but showed much improved form in first-time hood; in rear, switched around halfway, headway over 1f out, stayed on strongly, just failed, suited by coming from off strong pace; she should prove at least as effective at 6f.

failed to improve making nursery debut but the trip didn't look ideal and she's well worth another chance in a similar low-grade affair; raced near side, mid-division, pushed along 2f out, one paced; will benefit from return to 6f; remains with potential.

Quite a few of these already seem to have had their limitations exposed and it's not likely to prove a strong race; there was a lot of competition for the lead, so they went quick, set up for the second more than the winner, who deserves extra credit.

ZIPEDEEDODAH (IRE) showed improved form to get off the mark and did well under the circumstances considering he was never far off a strong pace; close up, travelled strongly, led over 1f out, just held on from one that came from last place; all speed, he's likely to prove best at 5f and is expected to go well again.

TRUE COURSE failed to improve making nursery debut but the trip didn't look ideal and she's well worth another chance in a similar low-grade affair; raced near side, mid-division, pushed along 2f out, one paced; will benefit from return to 6f; remains with potential.

CLASSIC FLYER wasn't disgraced but failed to meet market expectations (well backed) and isn't progressing; tracked pace, chased leader over 1f out, not quicken; worth another try at 6f.

CANDLELIGHT (IRE) wasn't seen to best effect, away from the action as she made her effort right down the centre of the track, not unduly punished as she kept on either, doing enough to suggest she remains in decent heart.

PENALTY SCORER produced a laboured effort; chased leaders, soon off bridle, dropped away after 2f out; not one to be interested in.
