Almost half arrived on the back of a win, and one of those added another at the chief expense of one returning to form after a break and a 3-y-o who'd been thereabouts in recent starts, not that any of the others showed their form in a race run at a stop-start gallop.

CRYSTAL CASQUE progressed again for a yard whose good form has rolled well into the autumn, doing everything right in a race where a few others did plenty wrong; held up, baulked over 4f out, smooth headway entering straight, produced to lead under 2f out, in command final 1f, ridden out.

YUSRA got back on track in a more suitable grade after 3 months off, a third runner-up finish on all-weather this year; waited with, shaken up over 2f out, effort soon after, stayed on, took second near line.

MUMS HOPE shaped better than last time in first-time blinkers, though she had every chance after a sharper break; led until over 4f out, led again around 3f out, headed under 2f out, kept on.

EQUAL SUM stepped up on her comeback run but not on her 2-y-o form, looking opposable in the short term judged on this; mid-division, ridden under 3f out, not quicken.

AL NAFOORAH fared little better than first time back; steadied at the start, hampered over 4f out, pushed along straight, made little impression.
