came out on top in impressive style on first outing since leaving Jeremy Noseda after 11 months off, relishing the 1f shorter trip in first-time tongue strap and leaving the impression he's got a lot more to come as a sprinter; held up, travelled strongly, good headway over 1f out, stayed on to lead well inside final 1f, pushed out; has an excellent all-weather record and is one to bear in mind back up in grade.

quickly made up into a smart all-weather handicapper in 2018 and made a solid return from 3 months off, just seeming a bit rusty and caught out in a muddling contest, sure to come on for this outing; held up, raced freely, ridden 2f out, stayed on, would have benefited from a stronger gallop; will remain of interest.

ran respectably with the aid of a good position in a muddling race but the first 2 were going away from him in the finish; prominent, challenged 1f out, one paced.

A steady pace meant they finished pretty well bunched but the first 2 were much the best and are ones to be positive about looking forward, the winner relishing the drop to sprinting on his reappearance and getting the better of the odds-on favourite who could have done with a stronger pace.
