Not a strong handicap in all likelihood, even though the time compares favourably with the earlier novice over this distance; the gallop wasn't a bad one, though the easy winner soon settled the issue with a further injection of pace 4 out.

CLOUDY BOB (IRE) goes well at this track (particularly at this time of year) and returned to something like his recent best to claim a rare win; waited with, hit first (fluent otherwise), headway on bridle from halfway, went on between 5 out and 4 out, in command home turn, eased close home; remains to be seen if able to back this up.

BUGSIE MALONE (IRE) ran creditably despite failing to confirm placings with Cloudy Bob from last time (off worse terms); made running, headed briefly sixth, headed again soon after 5 out (mistake there), stuck to task, albeit no match for winner; likely to continue in form.

TROJAN STAR (IRE) got back on track after 8 weeks off, though is probably a shade high in the weights at present; waited with, took closer order over circuit out, kept on straight, albeit no match for winner.

GLOBALISATION (IRE) wasn't seen to best effect back over fences; mid-division, lost place when bad mistake fifth, behind after (tended to go in snatches), rallied from end of back straight, finished with running left; clearly still not straightforward, but should be competitive off this sort of mark.

GET INVOLVED (IRE) followed a good run with a below-par one; close up early, lost place early final circuit, never going well after; unreliable.

HANDSOME SAM in a change of headgear, was again let down by his jumping just as the race was taking shape; waited with, travelled better than most, in touch when blundered badly 5 out, not recover.

SONNY THE ONE seems to have lost way for time being; prominent, led briefly sixth, reminders after twelfth, soon done with.

BRONCO BILLY (IRE) after 8 weeks off, failed to build on the promise of last run; mid-division, slow ninth, dropped away quickly back straight.

FIELDS OF GLORY (FR) shaped as if back in form and is probably just summed up by his handicap mark now; mid-division, lost place briefly early final circuit, headway again back straight, keeping on in fourth when fell heavily 3 out, would have finished in frame (seemed to be coping okay with this longer trip).
