back down markedly in trip, bounced back to form with his first success in handicaps, is now 2-2 over this C&D and though there were a few disappointments in behind, he did pull nicely clear with a lightly-raced sort; mid-division, driven over 3f out, challenged over 1f out, edged ahead close home, kept going well; further improvement looks required if he's to follow up.

making handicap debut, showed improved form, just finding the winner too strong on the day, but he pulled well clear of the remainder and looks on a workable mark; mid-field, ridden over 2f out, went on over 1f out, tackled soon after, edged out close home, stuck to task.

With a couple of disappointments in the race and no noticeably progressive types, this probably didn't take much winning, but the front pair pulled nicely clear and should at least continue to pay their way; the gallop was fair.

AUSSIE ANDRE back down markedly in trip, bounced back to form with his first success in handicaps, is now 2-2 over this C&D and though there were a few disappointments in behind, he did pull nicely clear with a lightly-raced sort; mid-division, driven over 3f out, challenged over 1f out, edged ahead close home, kept going well; further improvement looks required if he's to follow up.

PRESCIENCE (IRE) making handicap debut, showed improved form, just finding the winner too strong on the day, but he pulled well clear of the remainder and looks on a workable mark; mid-field, ridden over 2f out, went on over 1f out, tackled soon after, edged out close home, stuck to task.

BAREFOOT DANCER back down in trip, ran respectably but had no excuses and his current mark looks nothing more than fair; led, ridden early in straight, headed over 1f out, one paced.

LEIGHTERTON back on all-weather, shaped similarly to last time; held up, short of room until 2f out, shaken up soon after, one paced.

LUCKY HENRY again ran respectably, but has had a few chances off this mark and probably isn't much better than this these days; in touch, ridden over 2f out, plugged on.

ABLE DASH back on all-weather and with cheekpieces re-applied, again ran below form; in rear, off the bridle before most, switched 2f out, never on terms.

ISAMOL back on all-weather, ran poorly in first-time blinkers; in touch, disputed lead back straight, ridden 3f out, weakened from 2f out.

FILAMENT OF GOLD (USA) who had run poorly over jumps recently, offered little returned to this sphere; held up, off the bridle before most, weakened early in straight.
