had shaped with encouragement in a stronger handicap than this at York last time and was back to his best to justify support; in touch, driven 2f out, found plenty to lead final 50 yards; had little to spare on face of it but probably found 5f on good ground only just enough of a test - he is effective at 6f/heavy ground after all.

stepped up markedly on comeback run, running up to best to almost cause a surprise; raced wide, close up, pushed along 2f out, stuck to task; hes not certain to be in the same form next time, though.

took step back in right direction and, although hes a tricky customer who's hard to win with, he can't be totally ignored having slipped so far in the weights, especially is likely to get a strong pace; held up, headway over 1f out, not quicken well inside final 1f.

A group of older, exposed sorts came together for this everyday sprint, more like a class 5 than class 4 given that nothing officially rated higher than 75 took part, and its unlikely to prove anything other than ordinary form.

MASTER BOND had shaped with encouragement in a stronger handicap than this at York last time and was back to his best to justify support; in touch, driven 2f out, found plenty to lead final 50 yards; had little to spare on face of it but probably found 5f on good ground only just enough of a test - he is effective at 6f/heavy ground after all.

TOM SAWYER stepped up markedly on comeback run, running up to best to almost cause a surprise; raced wide, close up, pushed along 2f out, stuck to task; hes not certain to be in the same form next time, though.

ECONOMIC CRISIS (IRE) could be excused run here 5 days ago and wasted no time getting back on track; led, went with enthusiasm, headed inside final 1f, one paced, had every chance.

BUNCE (IRE) produced a rather laboured effort for all that he wasn't disgraced on form; in touch, went with little fluency, plugged on, never a threat.

INGENTI is back to last winning mark and hinted at a revival, shaping as if she'll be better for run after 6 weeks off; prominent, disputed lead over 1f out, dropped away final 100 yds.
