The latest renewal of this valuable chase, which was run in dense fog, proved to be a rather one-sided affair, Djakadam confirming that he'd been let off lightly by the handicapper, thus supplying his all-conquering trainer with a record sixth win in this race; Sadler'sflaure took them along at what looked a sound pace and the emphasis was firmly on stamina, just 6 of the 17 that set out managing to complete.

DJAKADAM (FR) got back on track in no uncertain terms having clearly not done himself justice in the Hennessy, producing a performance bordering on high-class to earn himself a tilt at the Gold Cup, dispelling any lingering doubts about his stamina in the process; raced wide, mid-field, jumped soundly in main, travelled better than most, smooth headway entering straight, jumped on 2 out, in control when left clear last; remains with potential, still only a 6-y-o, and couldn't be in better hands.

MY MURPHY (IRE) in first-time cheekpieces, ran well on form, showing this sort of mark isn't beyond him after all; mid-field, mistake fifth, close up when not fluent 3 out, left second last, stayed on; likely to go up another couple of pounds for this, however.

GOONYELLA (IRE) ran respectably, but has possibly reached limit in form terms; held up, headway 5 out, struggling before home turn, left in frame last, stayed on to snatch third close home.

GALLANT OSCAR (IRE) much higher in the weights in this sphere, failed to justify support back over fences, although shaped better than distance beaten suggests; dropped out, crept closer before 5 out, in contention entering straight, left behind from 3 out, left third at last but run out of that position close home.

SADLER'SFLAURE (FR) shaped as if still in good form, this trip possibly stretching him in the conditions; made running, jumped well in main, headed before 3 out, weakened; likely to prove best up to 3m.

TOON RIVER (IRE) back over fences, ran below form; tracked pace, went prominent circuit out, left behind from 4 out.

OSCARS BUSINESS (IRE) in first-time blinkers; fell second.

IPSOS DU BERLAIS (FR) dropped out, behind when fell ninth.

THE JOB IS RIGHT was in process of running well when departing; chased leaders, ridden approaching home turn, led briefly 3 out, booked for second when unseated rider last; should remain competitive in these events.

THELOBSTERCATCHER rather predictably failed to repeat last effort; chased leaders, went prominent early final circuit, dropped away after 5 out.

SWORD FISH (IRE) ran poorly, found this too competitive; chased leaders, lost place over circuit out, pulled up before 4 out.

JADANLI (IRE) who won this race off the same mark in 2013, wasn't in same form as last time; raced well off the pace, beaten long way out.

VASCO DU MEE (FR) ran no sort of race; dropped out, never travelling well, never involved.

LIKE YOUR STYLE (IRE) followed a good run with below-par one; held up, pulled up before 4 out.

GROODY HILL (IRE) ran poorly; mid-field, headway early final circuit, in contention 5 out, beaten soon after next.

ROGUE ANGEL (IRE) ran badly, possibly finding race coming too soon after his exertions at Punchestown 12 days earlier; mid-field, beaten long way out.

MAKE A TRACK (IRE) turned in rare poor effort; close up, lost place early final circuit, struggling before 4 out.
