A marathon test that simply proved too much for most, the field thinning out after 4 out, so for all that Tulsa Jack ran out an authoritative winner this probably isn't form to be rating too highly.

TULSA JACK (IRE) has really got his act together of late and proved better than ever to follow up from last time, seeming to relish the added emphasis on stamina, and the fact that he was left with little in the way of opposition shouldn't mask the point that he's in the form of his life at present; waited with, travelled well, headway from 4 out, challenged next, led approaching 2 out, forged clear; surely faces a hefty rise in the weights for this wide-margin success so his prospects of completing the hat-trick rather lay in the hands of the handicapper.

CLAR NA MIONN (IRE) turned in comfortably his best effort of the season, at least proving he stays this far, but had no excuses and is likely to require further respite from the handicapper before he'll become a betting proposition; prominent, effort approaching 3 out, one paced.

KYLECRUE (IRE) wasn't disgraced back up markedly in trip after just 6 days off, though didn't fully convince with his stamina and his mark looks only average at best in any case; made running, tackled 3 out, headed approaching next, no extra from last.

BLESS THE WINGS (IRE) shaped as if still in good form, but could never land a blow having been ridden to conserve his stamina over this longer trip and didn't appear to stay it anyway; held up, travelled better than most, effort 3 out, made no impression.

RIVERSIDE CITY (IRE) after 5 months off, continues to operate below his best; waited with, headway 4 out, effort flattened out.

BETTERTHANALRIGHT (IRE) without usual headgear, probably needed run after 7 months off; in touch, lost place fifteenth, faded.

SWORD FISH (IRE) won this event back in 2013 but, back up markedly in trip, fared no better than when last seen 6 months earlier; in rear, off the bridle long way out, lost touch thirteenth, pulled up after next.

KING LEON (IRE) ran poorly, more to it than the longer trip, not that he gave himself much chance of seeing it out after another error-strewn round of jumping; mid-field, lost place when clouted second, reminders after another mistake fourth, back in touch when driven 4 out, no extra before next, pulled up.

UNOCCUPIED placed in the last 2 runnings of this race, hadn't been seen since finishing third in last year's renewal and probably needed the run; mid-field, weakened approaching fifteenth, pulled up before 2 out.

DUSHREMBRANDT (IRE) runner-up in this corresponding event last year, didn't arrive in anything like the same kind of form this time around and continues out of sorts; mid-division, progress fourteenth, weakened before 3 out, pulled up before next; plenty to prove at present.

A DECENT EXCUSE (IRE) wasn't in the same form as last time, the marked step back up in trip merely compounding matters; in rear, off the bridle before most, dropped away fifteenth, pulled up soon after.

ROGUE ANGEL (IRE) followed below-par effort with even worse one; tracked pace, struggling after fifteenth, pulled up after 3 out.
