A race that appeared to revolve around Daklondike's ability to back up Saturday's Wetherby demolition job; as it was, the writing was on the wall from a long way out, the veteran Paddy The Oscar soon adopting his usual front-running position and never headed.

PADDY THE OSCAR (IRE) finally capitalised on a falling mark; soon led, shaken up between last 2, driven out; about to turn 15 but no real reason why he shouldn't give another good account next time.
