got straight back on the up, reverting to looking a smart colt, a high achiever already through only 6 starts, 4 of which have resulted in success; waited with, took strong hold, good headway approaching straight, challenged approaching final 1f, kept on well, asserted final 100 yds; he's already shown turf holds no fears but he does have a smashing all-weather pedigree.

shaped well after 9 months off, a belated but highly encouraging return, lack of peak fitness probably telling after he'd made the same move as the winner; in touch, smooth headway approaching straight, every chance when ran green 1f out, left behind by winner final 100 yds; sure to win races this year.

Only a handful went to post but there was no shortage of interest, provided chiefly by the eventual first 2, both hailing from good yards and set to go on progressing; the early pace was steady but did wind up under 4f out.
