Fontwell Park 18:10 Odds Comparison

Had plenty in hand when scoring at Hereford in November and showed much improved form in making it 2 wins from 3 outings there in 7-runner handicap (2½m, good) 9 days ago, quickening clear entering straight. Should prove hard to beat under a penalty for good-value conditional.

Fair in bumpers and matched that level sent handicapping when landing a gamble in 13-runner event at Taunton in January. Raised 10 lb but showed he's still competitive 3 months on when second of 8 at Perth (2½m, good) 3 weeks ago. A first-time hood should help him settle better.

Produced a career best from somewhere with a sighter on the Flat under his belt when winning 7-runner handicap at this course (2¾m, good to soft) in March, taking his form figures when completing here to 11231. 8 lb rise to overcome but he's clearly hard to knock at this venue.

Enhanced his good record at Taunton by producing a personal best when landing 9-runner handicap (19f, good) just over 3 weeks ago. Up 7 lb for that but his form on undemanding ground keeps him of interest.

Built on encouraging reappearance at the second time of asking when winning 8-runner Ludlow handicap (21f, good to soft) back in October and ran at least as well in defeat when second of 10 at Kempton (21f, good to soft) the following month. Nudged up 2 lb but has gone well fresh previously.

Little impact in juvenile/maiden hurdles in recent months, finishing with running left over a wholly inadequate trip at Plumpton (2m, good) last month. Should accomplish more now handicapping over a longer distance. 2 lb out of the weights.

More miss than hit over jumps last summer but did at least run well when second in a staying handicap on the all-weather in late-January.

Resumed winning ways over fences at Newton Abbot 12 months ago but well below that form since, including back hurdling when last seen in November (breathing problem). This presumably a pipe-opener before going back over fences (has had another breathing operation).
