Cartmel 19:38 Odds Comparison

Recorded quick-fire double here last year over slightly shorter trip and having taken a step back in the right direction at Musselburgh (3m) in March, he landed a few bets back at Cartmel on Monday (on the back of breathing surgery). Retains handicap scope and he should stay this far.

Showed the benefit of stable debut returned to 3m when winning 10-runner handicap hurdle at Perth last month and improved again when following up in 11-runner contest back there (27f) 14 days ago, well on top finish. Up further 7 lb but demands respect in current mood.

Registered his second win at Hexham in 15-runner handicap hurdle (23f, good) 25 days ago, running on well for pressure. Isn't straightforward though and can't be fully trusted to reproduce that form.

Landed third 2¾m course success in decisive fashion in July. Probably needed the run after 5 months off when down the field at Kelso in April and while he stepped up on that slightly, he still didn't meet market expectations when fifth to Evenwood Sonofagun here on Monday. Goes back up in trip.

Pulled up on his last 3 starts over fences but visor on returned to hurdles and he gave a much better account of himself when third from the front here on Monday. Stays this far and much depends on whether he can back that up.

Two-time hurdles winner for Charles Byrnes at Sligo in 2024. Has struggled for different trainers but stopped the slide with a pair of runner-up efforts for current stable in recent weeks. Nudged up 3 lb but can be a factor again assuming the omission of a hood is no negative.

Placed twice at Perth over both sets of obstacles this spring but isn't entirely straightforward and he swerved violently right at the first at Kelso, unseating rider.

Runner-up over hurdles at Bangor on reappearance (form worked out well) in October. More miss than hit after but has joined a yard with a superb record at Cartmel. Stays this far and interesting to see what the market makes of him.

In good form here last summer, winning over 17f and runner-up twice as far as this trip. Probably needed the run when down the field at Hexham on return 3 weeks ago but just a fair sixth here on Monday.

Still a maiden and jumping didn't always hold up over fences but ran one of his better races when third of 12 in a 21f handicap chase here on Saturday. Back hurdling trying this trip for the first time.

Landed a Down Royal handicap hurdle for Philip Rothwell in April 2025. Pulled up all 4 starts under Rules since, but has won a couple of points for his rider this year.
