back on firmer ground, had been shaping really well over further and put it all together over this shorter trip; mid-field, led 2f out, kept on well, won readily; well bred and will go on improving.

without the headgear this time, ran well back down in trip but couldn't prove a match for progressive winner in the end, looks on a fair mark; held up, headway 2f out, kept on, pulled clear of remainder; likely to continue in form.

All 8 ran.

Winning Owner: Sheikh Juma Dalmook Al Maktoum

Time: 1m 39.28s

Overrounds: Industry SP 111%, Betfair SP 101.1%

Genius Boy was the least exposed of these and ran out a ready winner, while the second, who is himself proven as near-useful, pulled nicely clear of the remainder, too, so the result makes sense.

GENIUS BOY back on firmer ground, had been shaping really well over further and put it all together over this shorter trip; mid-field, led 2f out, kept on well, won readily; well bred and will go on improving.

ONE PEKAN (IRE) without the headgear this time, ran well back down in trip but couldn't prove a match for progressive winner in the end, looks on a fair mark; held up, headway 2f out, kept on, pulled clear of remainder; likely to continue in form.

TIGHT LIPPED (IRE) back down in trip, ran respectably but had work cut out against less-exposed pair; prominent, driven 2f out, one paced.

HANDHELD back down in trip, again ran below form; in touch, led 3f out, headed 2f out, one paced.

EVIDENT (IRE) hasn't had as much racing as some of these but failed to come on for recent return, though his best form has come at 7f; held up, never a threat.

SECULAR SOCIETY was well held after 5 weeks off; mid-field, made little impression.

AFKAR (IRE) turned in rare poor effort; mid-field, weakened 2f out.

JONNIE SKULL (IRE) back down in trip, ran poorly, is proving more miss than hit; led, headed 3f out, weakened.
