A run-of-the-mill handicap; the pace was just fair and, as is often the case on Worcester's chase track, it paid to be handy.

RINTULLA (IRE) has looked a different proposition under livelier conditions this season and stepped up on his reappearance effort to open his account over jumps; led from third, pressed on from end of back straight, in control when untidy 2 out (jumped well in main), ridden out.

LE POGUES STORM (IRE) in a change of headgear, ran best race to date second time up after a breathing operation; led until third, remained prominent, kept on.

ARDBRUCE (IRE) is going through a good spell at the moment, faring by far the best of those held up here; dropped out, smooth headway from halfway, going well when blundered 3 out (otherwise much more fluent than last time), one paced after.

WRITE IT DOWN (IRE) ran a typical race and, whilst this was another decent effort in terms of form, he essentially isn't one to back at short odds; in touch, off the bridle early back straight, plugged on.

TRAIN HILL (IRE) wasn't seen to best effect sent chasing and is entitled to do better; waited with, jumped adequately, still plenty to do end of back straight, merely closed up late.

ROYAL CHANT (IRE) ran respectably and arguably wasn't seen to best effect, never better than mid-field.

YAAZAAIN possibly failed to stay the longer trip and remains capable of better over fences; mid-division, travelled better than most, in contention entering straight, weakened from 2 out (lost 3 places run-in).

HOLD ME TIGHT (IRE) is better judged on recent efforts, his trademark patient tactics not the order of the day here; dropped out, still plenty to do home turn, never landed a blow (not persevered with once held).

CATLOW (IRE) ran poorly after 9 weeks off (underwent another breathing operation in interim); mid-division, ridden back straight, beaten some way out.

DUN BAY CREEK retains little ability; in touch, lost place quickly end of back straight.

CANNY TOM (IRE) seems to have completely lost form; close up, folded from 5 out.

CONCEAL (IRE) went backwards from chasing bow and increasingly looks one with problems (refitted with tongue strap here); mid-division, never involved.

ROSTELLO (FR) mid-division, lost place quickly circuit out and soon pulled up (reportedly had irregular heartbeat).

FREDDIE DARLING (IRE) possibly needed the run after 4 months off (bought £6,000 from Harry Fry in interim); handy, untidy 5 out, faded from early in straight (not persevered with once held).
