got back on track after 5 months off, this at least as good as what he produced when winning the Northumberland Plate; mid-field, travelled fluently, headway end of back straight, led over 1f out, kept going well; this qualifies him for the Marathon on the all-weather championships finals day, sure to go well if taking his chance there.

gelded since last seen, ran creditably back up at 2m after 12 months off, at the very least shaping as if retaining all of his ability, having the run of things but entitled to be sharper for this all the same; led, not settle fully, tackled over 2f out, headed over 1f out, one paced; will remain of interest, either over this trip or back at shorter.

in first-time blinkers (added to hood), failed to come on for recent run; in rear, raced freely, ridden under 3f out, never on terms; he'll find easier tasks than this, though is left with a bit to prove all the same after 2 fairly uninspiring efforts for this yard.
