well backed and duly found the improvement required to follow up recent C&D success off 5 lb higher mark; chased leader, travelled well, good split up inner entering straight, stayed on to lead final 100 yds; was well positioned the way this went, but it's best to focus on the positives with her, clearly thriving.

lost no caste in defeat for all that she couldn't quite complete the hat-trick, only beaten by another right at the top of her game after conceding first run to that rival; patiently ridden, shaken up home turn, kept on well, never nearer; better than ever right now, she will remain of interest.

left the firm impression she's still ahead of her mark, just unable to prove the point fully on this occasion due to how things panned out; mid-field, went with enthusiasm, made rapid headway on outer home turn, led early in straight, headed final 100 yds, no extra, paid the price for big move into contention; one to persevere with.

shaped well making handicap debut; mid-division, caught behind struggling rival home turn, short of room again early in straight, kept on but unable to recover; will be suited by a return to further and may yet do better, this only her second run for current yard.

A fillies' handicap containing plenty of in-form sorts, and they duly came to the fore, but this still goes down as a slightly unsatisfactory contest, neither the second or third seen to such good effect as the winner in a steadily-run affair, both worth persevering with.

ABBEY ANGEL (IRE) well backed and duly found the improvement required to follow up recent C&D success off 5 lb higher mark; chased leader, travelled well, good split up inner entering straight, stayed on to lead final 100 yds; was well positioned the way this went, but it's best to focus on the positives with her, clearly thriving.

MY TRINGALING (IRE) faced a very stiff task from out of the handicap; close up, struggling halfway, dropped away from home turn.
