away from fibresand, fully confirmed recent improvement to open up more options with regards surface and trip, this extra ½f or so no problem at all, and has developed into a most likeable sort since joining this yard; tracked leaders, briefly tapped for toe as that pair pressed on 3f out, kept on well straight, led line; unlikely to go up much for this given margins involved and will remain of interest.

ran a cracker, putting up a career-best effort and worth quite a bit of extra credit on top of the bare form as well, all in all shaping like comfortably the best horse at the weights; helped force pace, went on over 2f out as other pacesetter cracked, responded well to pressure in straight but collared line, ridden too aggressively; without a win since coming over from Brazil but looks up to putting that right in the coming weeks.
disputed lead, went on over 2f out, kept on well, headed post

turned in one of his better efforts in a race run to suit, and would have been a bit closer granted a clear passage; waited with, travelled well, short of room home turn, kept on well from 2f out; isn't usually suited by small-field scenarios, this one run at a stronger pace than most, and hard to predict at the best of times, so not one to go overboard about despite potentially generous mark.
held up, short of room home turn, kept on well from 2f out

didn't come into this in much form, but attracted support back down to his last winning mark and with Kirby up, but again failed to fire and is just going through a lull at present; tracked leaders, outpaced 3f out, never landed a blow.

failed in no uncertain terms to build on the mild promise of last time, that he was taken on for the lead insufficient excuse given how far he was beaten; helped force pace, folded tamely over 2f out, eased.

A useful handicap that went the way of one who has proved most progressive of late, though it's arguably the runner-up who is of even more interest next time, doing very well to last as long as he did having helped set a strong pace.

PEARL NATION (USA) away from fibresand, fully confirmed recent improvement to open up more options with regards surface and trip, this extra ½f or so no problem at all, and has developed into a most likeable sort since joining this yard; tracked leaders, briefly tapped for toe as that pair pressed on 3f out, kept on well straight, led line; unlikely to go up much for this given margins involved and will remain of interest.

SANTEFISIO turned in one of his better efforts in a race run to suit, and would have been a bit closer granted a clear passage; waited with, travelled well, short of room home turn, kept on well from 2f out; isn't usually suited by small-field scenarios, this one run at a stronger pace than most, and hard to predict at the best of times, so not one to go overboard about despite potentially generous mark.

HAAF A SIXPENCE didn't come into this in much form, but attracted support back down to his last winning mark and with Kirby up, but again failed to fire and is just going through a lull at present; tracked leaders, outpaced 3f out, never landed a blow.
