back on all-weather, seemed more exposed than most of these but produced a career best just 2 days after a poor display, winning it well too, though he'll need to confirm himself an improved performer if he's to remain competitive from higher marks; mid-field, headway out wide 2f out, stayed on to lead inside final 1f, edged left, kept going well.

ran creditably switched to tapeta over this longer trip, probably just paying the price for kicking for home a long way out; raced wide, prominent, led over 2f out, headed final 1f, hampered by drifting winner final 100 yds which probably cost him second; sure to go well again.

Time: 1m 57.15s

A useful handicap and the winner found progress from somewhere to get the better of 2 or 3 less-exposed rivals; the pace was fair and the first 5 were a long way clear.

DOCS LEGACY (IRE) back on all-weather, seemed more exposed than most of these but produced a career best just 2 days after a poor display, winning it well too, though he'll need to confirm himself an improved performer if he's to remain competitive from higher marks; mid-field, headway out wide 2f out, stayed on to lead inside final 1f, edged left, kept going well.

ENERGIA FLAVIO (BRZ) making all-weather debut after 6 weeks off, ran best race but this mark still looks to leave him a shade vulnerable; prominent, driven 2f out, one paced.

MASTER OF FINANCE (IRE) back on all-weather, was well held; mid-field, made little impression.

SOUND ADVICE after just 7 days off, fared no better than last time; led, headed 2f out, weakened.
