unpenalised, followed up from last time more comfortably than the bare result suggests; in touch, pulled hard, upsides 3 out, led approaching next, drew clear between last 2, stumbled last, closed down run-in and ridden out; already due to be 10 lb higher, but he's still low mileage and should go well again, so long as he can stand more racing than has been the case in the last couple of seasons.

back in usual cheekpieces, ran well though was flattered to finish so close to the winner, regaining ground only as that rival tired on the run-in; led third, joined 3 out, headed before next, kept on.

easy to back, probably needed run on first outing since leaving Donald McCain after 13 months off, perhaps significant that different tactics were employed; held up, took strong hold, chased leaders home turn, shaken up approaching 2 out, no extra between last 2.

It was a relatively narrow winning margin in the end for Presenting Arms but he can be rated as being more superior, tiring only on the run-in as earlier exertions told.
