without the headgear this time/in first-time tongue strap, took advantage of a drop in the weights to resume winning ways, though that doesn't tell the whole story, this a typically lazy performance, looking the first beaten around halfway (matched at 120 in-running); held up, jumped left sixth, driven before next, headway under pressure home turn, challenged 2 out, hung left approaching last, stayed on to lead final 50 yds; while he's not likely to go up too much for this, his patchy profile makes him one to take on next time.

well backed, is going through a good spell at the moment, narrowly failing to fend off a late-challenging rival this time; soon led, typically raced lazily, shaken up between last 2, headed final 50 yds, kept on.

ran a similar race to last time, again less than convincing with her finishing effort, more difficult to excuse this time on an easier track/quicker ground; mid-field travelling well, headway 3 out, challenged next, pushed along approaching last, faded.

was friendless in the market making his handicap debut upped markedly in trip, and will need to brush up his hurdling if he's to follow in the footsteps of half-brothers Fair Along and Fairyland; in touch, hit fifth, blundered 3 out, weakened next.

Not a strong event for the grade, albeit one run at a fair gallop, the finish fought out by a pair who have been called their fair share of names during their careers.

URCALIN (FR) without the headgear this time/in first-time tongue strap, took advantage of a drop in the weights to resume winning ways, though that doesn't tell the whole story, this a typically lazy performance, looking the first beaten around halfway (matched at 120 in-running); held up, jumped left sixth, driven before next, headway under pressure home turn, challenged 2 out, hung left approaching last, stayed on to lead final 50 yds; while he's not likely to go up too much for this, his patchy profile makes him one to take on next time.

KARL MARX (IRE) well backed, is going through a good spell at the moment, narrowly failing to fend off a late-challenging rival this time; soon led, typically raced lazily, shaken up between last 2, headed final 50 yds, kept on.

DARDANELLA ran a similar race to last time, again less than convincing with her finishing effort, more difficult to excuse this time on an easier track/quicker ground; mid-field travelling well, headway 3 out, challenged next, pushed along approaching last, faded.

LADY OF LONGSTONE (IRE) ran creditably under a much more patient ride than last time, though she's finding her second career win hard to come by, going somewhat in snatches tried in blinkers for a second time; waited with, headway 3 out, close up when not fluent next, one paced.

KEY TO MILAN ran a bit below form but wasn't disgraced back in his usual headgear after 7 months off; mid-division, effort 2 out, weakened.

FAYRE ENOUGH (IRE) was friendless in the market making his handicap debut upped markedly in trip, and will need to brush up his hurdling if he's to follow in the footsteps of half-brothers Fair Along and Fairyland; in touch, hit fifth, blundered 3 out, weakened next.

VENDREDI TROIS (FR) whose stable is struggling, was well held back down in trip; chased leader, lost place 3 out, folded tamely.
