usually goes well at this time of year and, having dropped below last winning mark, justifed good support after 4 months off; mid-division, not always fluent, in touch when mistake 4 out, challenged from home turn, stayed on strongly after 2 out, asserted run-in; may find life tougher next time.

was easy to back but again ran well; forced pace, jumped well, pressed on back straight, headed run-in, no extra only close home; genuine sort and should continue to give a good account.

ran respectably and is probably just summed up by handicap mark now; handy, lost place briefly circuit out, shaken up 5 out, left behind home turn, held when left in third 3 out.

after 4 months off, shaped as if still in good form; in touch, close up from early final circuit, in a share of third (alongside eventual winner) when brought down 2 out, though probably not going quite so well as the 2 principals at the time.
