back over fences, ran well on form but should have pushed the winner closer, attitude letting her down, no surprise that she's tasted success only once; mid-field, travelled well, mistake thirteenth, headway end of back straight, every chance 3 out, shaken up soon after, carried head high and found less than looked likely.

All 9 ran. Fences: 19.

Time: 7m 5.2s Closing Sectional: (2.19f): 36.7s (95.7%)

Overrounds: Industry SP 118%, Betfair SP 101%

Quite an open race on paper, if one lacking in unexposed sorts, but with most below par on the day it's not a strong piece of form, the winner's task made easier by the runner-up rather shirking the issue under pressure; the pace was sound.

GUNNA BE A DEVIL (IRE) ran best race of the season to get off the mark in this sphere; pressed leader, disputed ninth, went on twelfth, ridden before 3 out, responded well; he's a consistent sort, likely to continue in form.

TEA CADDY back over fences, ran well on form but should have pushed the winner closer, attitude letting her down, no surprise that she's tasted success only once; mid-field, travelled well, mistake thirteenth, headway end of back straight, every chance 3 out, shaken up soon after, carried head high and found less than looked likely.

FINISH THE STORY (IRE) ran creditably, this on a par with his Southwell performance last month; mid-field, driven early, headway twelfth, not fluent 5 out, ridden home turn, one paced.

PIGEON ISLAND again ran poorly; raced off the pace, lost touch fourteenth.

STRAWBERRY HILL (IRE) was easy to back and produced another laboured effort upped even further in trip, some sort of headgear probably worth a try before long; mid-field, ridden circuit out, lost touch 5 out.

SHY JOHN unseated rider second.

MILOSAM (IRE) was let down by attitude; mid-field, hit sixth, lost touch after next, downed tools; best treated with caution.

MIDNIGHT CHARMER ran no sort of race; in rear, struggling thirteenth.
