had tumbled in the weights and bounced back to form in first-time cheekpieces and a tongue strap, but whether he'll reproduce this form next time is another matter, the race rather falling apart and his overall profile not one of a horse who's sure to hold it together; prominent, went on before seventh, made rest, kept on well from 3 out.

has the physique of a chaser and ran well switched straight to fences after 8 months off, bypassing handicap hurdles at this stage; prominent, jumped safely, chased leader from 4 out, held approaching last; this form is probably as good as he achieved over hurdles and he's entitled to progress as a chaser.

shaped well on first outing since leaving Jim Old after 9 months off, certainly better than a tailed-off last of 3 finishers might suggest, and he's worth another chance to take advantage of a good mark even though there is definite room for improvement in his jumping over fences; mid-field, travelled better than most, mistake thirteenth, effort and still in with a chance of sorts when pecked 3 out, held when bad mistake next; maybe a change of rider would help.

sent chasing, showed promise prior to coming to grief and there is a chance his free-going ways will mean he does better as a chaser than hurdler; held up, took strong hold, going well when fell twelfth.

was turned out again quickly to try and take advantage of his mark, sure to go up a fair bit in the weights for Chepstow, but a bad mistake at the first either unnerved him completely or he was injured because he didn't jump a fence properly thereafter; dropped out, jumped appallingly (went badly left throughout), lost touch after tenth, pulled up soon after; perversely, he'd looked a sound jumper on his first 2 starts over fences.

What looked an interesting race of its type ended up rather falling apart, the favourite one of 5 who failed to complete and one of those that did also let down by his jumping.

STROLLAWAYNOW (IRE) had tumbled in the weights and bounced back to form in first-time cheekpieces and a tongue strap, but whether he'll reproduce this form next time is another matter, the race rather falling apart and his overall profile not one of a horse who's sure to hold it together; prominent, went on before seventh, made rest, kept on well from 3 out.
