made light of a 6 lb rise in the weights to follow up his recent Uttoxeter success; close up, jumped soundly in main, travelled best, went on 5 out, shaken up entering straight, tackled approaching last, had bit in hand; will remain well treated on old form when bidding for a hat-trick, the handicapper with little licence to be too penal given the nature of this victory.

without the usual headgear, once again had plenty on racing from well out of the handicap, 19 lb 'wrong' on this occasion; chased leaders, slow fifth (water jump), off the bridle soon after, left behind 3 out.

A valuable 0-150 handicap chase that attracted only 4 starters with the joint top-weights racing from BHA marks of just 118 after the withdrawal of the 139-rated Definite Future; it was a steadily-run affair won by a revived performer.

RED RIVERMAN made light of a 6 lb rise in the weights to follow up his recent Uttoxeter success; close up, jumped soundly in main, travelled best, went on 5 out, shaken up entering straight, tackled approaching last, had bit in hand; will remain well treated on old form when bidding for a hat-trick, the handicapper with little licence to be too penal given the nature of this victory.
