Salisbury's best race of the year attracted a smart field, and although a few weren't on their game, the winner was clearly improved, and that despite an unorthodox ride, his rider changing his mind after taking Kodi Bear to the far side initially after halfway, racing alone until moved more towards the rest of the field, the horse completing the rest of the manoeuvre by hanging right over to the rail.
