had probably learnt a lot from his involvement in the July Stakes and, with his sights lowered a bit, he gained a second career win and got back on the up in good style, suited by the strong pace but still showing both a high cruising speed and smart turn of foot; waited with, travelled strongly, smooth headway after halfway, quickened to lead entering final 1f, stayed on and won comfortably; it's been a very positive start to his career all things considered and he's earnt another crack at a pattern race, which he should be more ready for now.

was up in grade and ran best race, confirming himself a useful juvenile; in touch, outpaced halfway, switched over 1f out, kept on well, took second final 50 yds; will stay 7f.

is a speedy, useful and promising colt and although beaten up in grade here he wasn't disgraced, going harder than ideal in front, whilst that he sweated up so markedly beforehand probably had an impact on his performance too; broke well, led, went with zest, shaken up over 1f out, headed entering final 1f, faltered and lost second final 50 yards.

didn't have as stiff a task as last time but still seemed a little out of his depth, the figure that he seemed to run to in Ireland hardly solid (finished last of 8), and he didn't repeat it here; chased leaders, driven 2f out, not quicken.

faced a stiffer task in this grade and ran respectably, especially as keeping to this trip didn't seem ideal; in touch, outpaced over 2f out, left behind; he'll be suited by 7f and remains with potential with that in mind.

Often not a strong listed contest for 2-y-os but it was won in taking fashion this year by a potentially smart colt; Lake Volta did set a strong gallop that helped the way the winner was ridden.

ENJAZAAT had probably learnt a lot from his involvement in the July Stakes and, with his sights lowered a bit, he gained a second career win and got back on the up in good style, suited by the strong pace but still showing both a high cruising speed and smart turn of foot; waited with, travelled strongly, smooth headway after halfway, quickened to lead entering final 1f, stayed on and won comfortably; it's been a very positive start to his career all things considered and he's earnt another crack at a pattern race, which he should be more ready for now.

TIP TWO WIN was up in grade and ran best race, confirming himself a useful juvenile; in touch, outpaced halfway, switched over 1f out, kept on well, took second final 50 yds; will stay 7f.

CHOOKIE DUNEDIN was well held after 10 weeks off, clearly not 100% on the day; prominent, lost place over 2f out, eased off.
