A tightly-knit listed event in behind the favourite, who set a clear standard judged on her recent improvement, not needing to be at her best to emerge on top, the way the race unfolded serving to mask her superiority.

BAYSHORE FREEWAY (IRE) after just 4 days off, overcame unfavourable circumstances to gain further black type, only just getting away with the drop back in trip having met trouble; ridden early but unable to lead and raced in mid-field, headway when short of room early in straight, switched, stayed on to lead final 50 yds; a likeable filly, she'll continue to give a good account.

DANCE LEGEND wasted no time getting back to form in slightly lesser company than last time, though was probably a shade flattered by her proximity to the winner given that one's troubles; prominent, ridden home turn, edged ahead 1f out, kept on, headed final 50 yds.

TAMREER had plenty on at the weights up in grade and seemed to excel herself, well positioned the way this went; close up, travelled better than most, led early in straight, headed 1f out, no extra; her mark will be reassessed on the back of this, but she needs to prove that she can back it up in any case.

SPIRIT OF APPIN wasn't in the same form as last time, that performance perhaps a bit flattering on her, given how few of the others ran their race; in rear, headway over 1f out, one paced, never a threat.

HULCOTE wasn't in the same form as last time, more on her plate up in grade but she was back to looking a bit laboured, perhaps no coincidence that both of her wins have come on ground softer than good; raced off the pace, went in snatches, plugged on, never a threat.

MAKAWEE (IRE) found run of good form coming to a halt, a busy start to the season (fifth run in 7 weeks) perhaps catching up with her; led, headed entering straight, weakened approaching final 1f; she was going the right way prior to this and may get back on track after a short break.

CRYSTAL MOONLIGHT went backwards from reappearance, though reportedly lost a shoe, which may explain away her slightly underwhelming effort; mid-field, headway under pressure over 2f out, weakened approaching final 1f, not persevered with once held; she's just about worth another chance, mindful of her pedigree.

HAMEEM has won only quite thin handicaps but is better judged on previous form nonetheless, free without cover and making no impression, spared a hard time once held.
