proved better than ever and resumed winning ways, handling the testing conditions a lot better this time around, albeit having been seen to very good effect under an enterprising front-running ride; soon led, kicked on over 2f out, switched entering straight, kept going well, all out to hold on; a versatile sort, who is evidently still going the right way, he looks sure to remain of interest in the short-term.

ran up to best; chased leader, switched entering straight, ridden over 1f out, stayed on; he's on a handy mark if able to replicate this form next time.

back under more testing conditions, took a step back in the right direction on first outing since leaving John Gosden; in touch, ridden over 2f out, one paced but not unduly punished; he's one to bear in mind at this level, while it's worth noting that his best efforts for his former yard came on good going or firmer.

A small-field affair that was dominated by the first 2, Mutadaffeq posting a career best under an enterprising ride and narrowly holding off the persistent runner-up, the pair clear.
