Probably just an ordinary renewal of this listed event as it turned out, the pair with the best form not firing on all cylinders, Lincoln Rocks needing just a small step forward from her handicap form to score in battling fashion; the gallop was on the steady side.

LINCOLN ROCKS after just 4 days off, took advantage of the standard setters underperforming, but also looks worth crediting with another step forward herself, her profile one of gradual progression, whilst she was also the beneficiary of an excellent ride; dictated, quickened 3f out, enjoying first run a as result, worked across to stand-side rail in straight, tackled final 1f, all out; penalty for this success means she's likely to find life tougher from now on, though.

DAWN OF HOPE (IRE) wasted a good opportunity back down in grade, conceding first run to the winner, but equally it was a bit disappointing she couldn't peg back a rival 9-lb her inferior pre-race; mid-field, headway over 2f out, effort soon after, stayed on, just failed; on the plus side, this does open up more options with regards her ground requirements.

PIROUETTE back at a more suitable grade, turned in another respectable effort and deserves credit for her consistency, but is likely to remain vulnerable all the same, having regularly come up short in listed/pattern level since her last success, whilst a BHA mark of 105 is on the harsh side, better placed than most here but unable to raise her game in the straight.

HOME CUMMINS (IRE) had her work cut out stepped into listed company and ran as well as could be expected, beaten only by one who got a good ride and a couple who brought superior form to the table; handy, shen up home turn, stuck to task.

PERMISSION after 6 weeks off and back on ground softer than good for the first time since her impressive winning debut, went without the hood this time and proved to be a disappointent, never better than mid-field.

COILLTE CAILIN (IRE) was flying too high in this grade, was well held; dwelt, always behind.

SUMMER ICON faced a stiff task but underperformed in any case; in rear, raced freely, kept more towards inner than rivals in straight, never a threat.
