hadn't been firing but bounced back to her best in first-time blinkers to capitalise on a falling mark; held up, came wide home turn, driven over 1f out, stayed on to lead final 50 yds, suited by the way the race developed; the headgear isn't certain to work so well next time and things did pan out ideally here, so she's not an obvious one to follow up.

showed improved form and looked unlucky not to win, stopped in his stride at a crucial point; in touch, headway over 2f out, short of room over 1f out, kept on well inside final 1f; he's likely to stay 7f given how he's seen things out the last twice and, given that he still doesn't look the finished article, remains with potential.

deserves credit for consistency and with a better-judged ride he might well have held on, coming from last but making his effort and hitting the front earlier than ideal; slowly into stride, in rear, headway over 2f out, led approaching final 1f, headed final 50 yds, no extra; will continue to give a good account.

has more to find to defy this mark but is running consistently well and proved himself on firmer ground here too; in touch, went a little in snatches, headway over 2f out, every chance over 1f out, one paced.

backed up the improvement shown to win at Haydock, competitive from 4 lb higher, and raced closer to the pace early on than the others involved in the tight finish; raced wide, chased leaders, outpaced over 2f out, rallied, every chance entering final 1f, kept on.

An overly-strong early pace made this a proper test at the trip and the trio that raced a little way clear early all stopped to nothing in the straight, the other 5 coming through to battle out a very tight finish.

DUTCH MIST hadn't been firing but bounced back to her best in first-time blinkers to capitalise on a falling mark; held up, came wide home turn, driven over 1f out, stayed on to lead final 50 yds, suited by the way the race developed; the headgear isn't certain to work so well next time and things did pan out ideally here, so she's not an obvious one to follow up.
