whose new stable is going well, was notably strong in betting on first outing since leaving Mick Channon after 6 months off, and returned to form upped 5f in trip; disputed lead, went with enthusiasm, kicked on with runner-up back straight, challenged approaching 2f out, kept going well; still fairly lightly-raced and will continue to give good account.

equipped with first-time cheekpieces upped markedly in trip, showed first form since joining this yard; close up, travelled well, upsides approaching 2f out, battled on well but edging right final 1f, just denied, pulled well clear of remainder; overall profile isn't convinving and remains to be seen if able to back this up.

wasn't disgraced at this 4f longer trip; mid-field, travelled better than most, kept on from 3f out, made no impression; potentially well handicapped on old form, but this adds further weight to the theory that he isn't the same force these days.

An uncompetitive handicap in which very few got into, the contest only really concerning the front two from down the back straight as they pulled well clear of their rivals.

NEW YOUMZAIN (FR) whose new stable is going well, was notably strong in betting on first outing since leaving Mick Channon after 6 months off, and returned to form upped 5f in trip; disputed lead, went with enthusiasm, kicked on with runner-up back straight, challenged approaching 2f out, kept going well; still fairly lightly-raced and will continue to give good account.
