Hardly the most competitive of races with more of these mares disappointing than gave their running, only the pair that pulled well clear showing their form; the early pace was quite strong, set by Millicent Silver, and Tambura was some way off the leaders with just one behind at halfway.

TAMBURA who won the bumper on this card in 2014, was back up in trip, over 1f further than previously in fact, and the emphasis on stamina suited well, showing improvement to get back to winning ways; raced off the pace, jumped better than last time, went a little in snatches but made good progress circuit out and was back on bridle, chased leader 3 out, led flat, responded well.

CANNON FODDER had optimum conditions, in the mud at a track where she's often run well, and was back to her best, going down fighting behind an improver; prominent, led 4 out, tackled 2 out, headed flat, stuck to task, pulled clear of remainder.

MILLICENT SILVER wasn't disgraced from 8 lb higher mark than for Uttoxeter win, particularly as she did a bit too much too soon under different tactics, going fairly hard early on; led, headed 4 out, left behind between 3 out and 2 out.

KENTFORD MYTH shaped as if needing run after 6 months off; in touch, ridden after 4 out, weakened next, finished tired.

PRINCESS TARA (IRE) disappointed back in a less competitive race but her stable generally is struggling at present; prominent main group, ridden tenth, lost touch next.

STRANGE BIRD (IRE) back over hurdles, faced a stiff task from out of the handicap, never travelling well and behind from third.

STREETS OF PROMISE (IRE) disappointed in first-time cheekpieces back over hurdles, pulled up on her last 3 starts in this sphere, and has plenty to prove at present; chased leaders, shuffled back third, reminders after ninth, soon beaten.
