is ending his season on a high, running to a similar level as for York to follow up from 4 lb higher mark; waited with, headway on bridle 3f out, led under 2f out, always holding on; leaves the impression he only just does enough in front, a trait that means he should start next season still feasibly weighted, and it won't take a big jump forward for him to be competitive in listed events either.

was disadvantaged by the conditions of this race, effectively 3 lb out of the weights, and did well to push the winner as close as he did, acknowledging that one wasn't doing a great deal in front, Storm Rock worth crediting with another step forward; mid-field, smooth headway under 3f out, driven under 2f out, never quite managed to reach winner but stuck to task; will go into 4-y-o campaign with potential for further progress, and looks a banker to win more handicaps at 1m/1¼m.

had plenty on his plate from 6 lb out of the weights and ran as well as could be expected, no shame in losing out to a couple of smart, younger rivals; chased leader, driven 3f out, led narrowly 2f out, headed soon after, kept on.

was below form on first outing since leaving William Knight; dictated, headed 2f out, no further impression; handicapper looks to have overreacted to Leicester success in any case.

Not a strong race for the grade, two of the quintet out of the weights and one of the others losing all chance at the start, You're Fired not needing to improve to score with more in hand than the bare margins suggest.

YOU'RE FIRED (IRE) is ending his season on a high, running to a similar level as for York to follow up from 4 lb higher mark; waited with, headway on bridle 3f out, led under 2f out, always holding on; leaves the impression he only just does enough in front, a trait that means he should start next season still feasibly weighted, and it won't take a big jump forward for him to be competitive in listed events either.

STORM ROCK was disadvantaged by the conditions of this race, effectively 3 lb out of the weights, and did well to push the winner as close as he did, acknowledging that one wasn't doing a great deal in front, Storm Rock worth crediting with another step forward; mid-field, smooth headway under 3f out, driven under 2f out, never quite managed to reach winner but stuck to task; will go into 4-y-o campaign with potential for further progress, and looks a banker to win more handicaps at 1m/1¼m.

PINTURA had plenty on his plate from 6 lb out of the weights and ran as well as could be expected, no shame in losing out to a couple of smart, younger rivals; chased leader, driven 3f out, led narrowly 2f out, headed soon after, kept on.

BEACH BAR (IRE) was below form on first outing since leaving William Knight; dictated, headed 2f out, no further impression; handicapper looks to have overreacted to Leicester success in any case.
