had improved a bit without winning yet this year, runner-up to her stablemate Winter the last twice, but surprisingly this was an easier task with nothing of her calibre to beat, nor any of the top older miling fillies, and she took advantage, credited with some improvement as she was well on top, but an enterprising ride helped get the best out of her on the day; broke well and quickly got across to grab the stand rail, made all, pushed along over 2f out, tackled over 1f out but found plenty; a tough filly, she'll probably be kept busy, but the Breeders Cup Filly And Mare Turf could be a good backend target, run over 9f at Del Mar this year, and she'd stay that extra 1f.

had missed the first half of the year after suffering a stress fracture to her right hind leg but has clearly made a full recovery and ran a big race after 10 months off, last seen winning the Marcel Boussac on only her second career start; tracked pace, travelled best, challenged over 1f out, not quicken well inside final 1f, no extra late on but wasn't unduly punished once held; still very lightly raced and unexposed, she's bred to be suited by further than 1m this year and remains an exciting prospect.

had her winning run ended but has come a long way already this year and, even in a below-par Group 1, this was a big jump up in class and she ran well; tracked pace, driven under 2f out, stayed on final 50 yds; there's little doubt that she can win a pattern race.

shaped as if still in top form, not quite matching her last effort but not seen to very best effect given her position and how the race developed; held up, headway under pressure towards outer after 2f out, one paced, not ideally placed.

Only 7 ran in this year's Falmouth but for a race of this stature there was a surprising lack of quality, relatively speaking, and the form is rated lower than the standard you'd expect at the top level.

ROLY POLY (USA) had improved a bit without winning yet this year, runner-up to her stablemate Winter the last twice, but surprisingly this was an easier task with nothing of her calibre to beat, nor any of the top older miling fillies, and she took advantage, credited with some improvement as she was well on top, but an enterprising ride helped get the best out of her on the day; broke well and quickly got across to grab the stand rail, made all, pushed along over 2f out, tackled over 1f out but found plenty; a tough filly, she'll probably be kept busy, but the Breeders Cup Filly And Mare Turf could be a good backend target, run over 9f at Del Mar this year, and she'd stay that extra 1f.

WUHEIDA had missed the first half of the year after suffering a stress fracture to her right hind leg but has clearly made a full recovery and ran a big race after 10 months off, last seen winning the Marcel Boussac on only her second career start; tracked pace, travelled best, challenged over 1f out, not quicken well inside final 1f, no extra late on but wasn't unduly punished once held; still very lightly raced and unexposed, she's bred to be suited by further than 1m this year and remains an exciting prospect.

ARABIAN HOPE (USA) had her winning run ended but has come a long way already this year and, even in a below-par Group 1, this was a big jump up in class and she ran well; tracked pace, driven under 2f out, stayed on final 50 yds; there's little doubt that she can win a pattern race.

SEA OF GRACE (IRE) shaped as if still in top form, not quite matching her last effort but not seen to very best effect given her position and how the race developed; held up, headway under pressure towards outer after 2f out, one paced, not ideally placed.

DELECTATION faced a stiff task and ran as well as entitled to, particularly as she didn't settle and was further back/taken wider than ideal; held up, took strong hold, effort over 2f out, never a threat.

GRETA G (ARG) went backwards from her reappearance; close up, lost place over 1f out, weakened.

OPAL TIARA (IRE) again ran below form; chased leaders, lost place over 2f out, struggling when snatched up over 1f out, weakened.
