Proper listed fillies were in the minority, but there's enough evidence to see the winner for what she is, belonging in the next grade up in truth, making short work of these with a stand-side surge, a sound gallop sorting them out.

SPIRITUAL LADY missed out on what was, in hindsight, a winning chance at a big pot in a sales race at Doncaster (withdrawn at start), but her own value increased significantly with this performance, one that suggests she has Group 3 ability, at the least, the only conclusion to make from the way she quickened through in no time on the near flank, her rider able to take things easy late on; there's a good programme for sprint fillies of her growing status.

SPY RING (IRE) wasn't really ready for listed class when tried in the spring, but she is now, suggested by her nursery second (off a break) and confirmed here, beating all bar the one who's destined for bigger things, outsprinted (like all the rest) in the finish by Spiritual Lady but sticking to the task well.

MYSTIC DAWN (IRE) on the small side, but her record this season - highly tried since debut - hints at better in the pipeline as a 3-y-o, this race not getting to the bottom of her coming back in trip, slow to break but held up for a long way, finishing off well, urging another try at 7f at some stage, overmatched for ability when trying it in the Oh So Sharp.

PERFECT ANGEL (IRE) no excuses, other than perhaps feeling the effects of a couple of big efforts against colts, not quite the same force here she was at Newbury and York, but not by much, still getting to the front 2f out, run out of the placings only late on.

CLASSICAL TIMES improvement got her only fifth in this company, but it was a leap, and she can win almost any fillies maiden she wants next time, no fluke about this, doing well on the far flank, even getting into contention over 1f out, just biting off a little more than she could chew with the principals.

PELLUCID highly tried since her winning debut, but only keeping to 6f, when she'd bred for further, though there were signs here that she might lack application and not just speed, settling better but looking semi-hesitant under pressure, never in the heat of the race.

DAINTY DANDY (IRE) hooded and let stride on this time, but had run her race by 2f out, a break failing to refresh her, her third in the Princess Margaret a standout and a shaky one at that.

EASY VICTORY promised a lot to begin with but the wheels have already come off, all the way back down to 6f for this, and put in cheekpieces, but finding little; her pedigree is too good to rule out a revival by her at some point next year.

LOVING promise and potential showcased in maidens still stands, especially with Rosie Briar to lean on, and this was just a case of too much too soon for her, the fact she took a strong hold with no cover exaggerating her faltering finish.

ROMANTIC VIEW not bred for sprinting, back to it here, but there may be some underlying temperament with her, hence her patchy record so far, cheekpieces not working, in touch 2f out but dropping away.
