is very straightforward and consistent and, even with a penalty to carry, he didn't need to improve to win his second listed race of the season; prominent, travelled well, driven over 1f out, led inside final 1f, held on gamely; he'll continue to run well.

looked to face a stiff task up markedly in grade, having won a handicap from a mark of 85 last time, but he's obviously just improving in leaps and bounds now as he ran a screamer, doing easily the best of those from off the pace too; in rear, switched 2f out, headway approaching final 1f, stayed on strongly and was nearest at the finish; it's hard to believe that he won't stay 1m and there's more improvement in him now that he's thriving, well up to winning a listed event in the short term.

proved at least as good as ever in first-time visor and dropped back to 7f, this probably her best trip on balance; chased leaders, effort over 2f out, every chance entering final 1f, one paced, had every chance.

wasn't disgraced but equally failed to back up the figure from his wide-margin Lingfield win 6 days ago, which itself isn't the most robust; close up, raced freely, edged ahead 2f out, headed inside final 1f, no extra final 50 yds.

must have had a problem to have missed 5 months since her impressive debut and faced a stiff task in this grade, anyway; dwelt, held up, took strong hold, ridden 2f out, ran green, made no impression; she should still improve with a clearer run at things.

A competitive listed event involving several that had at least been placed at this level or higher already this year; a few of the key horses didn't fire on the day but it still looks solid form and the pace was sound for all that many of the principals raced prominently.

TABARRAK (IRE) is very straightforward and consistent and, even with a penalty to carry, he didn't need to improve to win his second listed race of the season; prominent, travelled well, driven over 1f out, led inside final 1f, held on gamely; he'll continue to run well.

GEORGE WILLIAM bounced back to form having been freshened up by an 11-week break; chased leaders, outpaced over 2f out, rallied entering final 1f, stuck to task.

KOROPICK (IRE) back up in trip, ran one of this season's poorer races; held up, progress 3f out, weakened final 1f.
