already had the measure of both his rivals when winning at Limerick last time, and though eventually made the most of the good opportunity, did also make pretty hard work of justifying very short odds; waited with, shaken up over 2f out, challenged approaching final 1f, led last ½f despite again carrying head bit awkwardly, ridden out; has an ungainly way of going about things, but is clearly very smart and a well-run race is sure to see him to better effect, of clear interest in stayers' events throughout the season.

ran up to best, but this was a muddling affair and she had been beaten much more convincingly by the winner previously; chased leader, produced to lead over 2f out, headed last ½f, kept on.

back up in trip, ran to just a similar level as last time, comfortably brushed aside by her sole pair of rivals; led, shaken up 3f out, headed soon after, weakened.

A poor turnout for a race won by some very smart stayers in the past, and long odds-on favourite Bondi Beach made pretty hard work of getting the better of his two rivals, both who he'd already had the measure of at Limerick last time.
