was one of the best bumper horses in 2013/14 and is right up there with the best in this division so far this season, following up from last time in impressive fashion, seeing things out really well in a race not run to suit; close up, jumped fine, headed between last 2, found plenty to lead run-in; still plenty more to come from him, especially when tried at 3m, and already looks a cracking prospect for novice chases when the time comes.

progressed as expected from hurdling debut, simply unlucky to bump into one even more progressive; chased leaders, travelled well, untidy 3 out, quickened to lead between last 2, headed run-in, outstayed; remains an exciting prospect and will prove as effective at 2m.

ran respectably but will remain vulnerable at this sort of level; dictated, joined 3 out, headed between last 2, no extra, had the run of the race.

shaped a good deal better than distance beaten suggests; tracked pace, outpaced early in straight, kept on, would have benefited from a stronger gallop; sure to win more races in less exalted company.

A cracking renewal of a race that has been downgraded to Grade 2 status since last season, 2 really bright prospects pulling clear from 2 out off what was a steady pace.
