improved on debut form to get off the mark in this sphere, wisely ridden forward with the cheekpieces that he has sometimes worn on the Flat making a return; made all, jumped better than last time, travelled best, quickened clear approaching last, kept on well, driven out; had the run of this but is open to further improvement.

improved on hurdling debut form despite doing a fair bit wrong; prominent, not always fluent, not settle fully, ridden after 3 out, left behind by winner approaching last, stuck to task; there's a bigger performance in her yet if she can put it all together.

just about the pick of these on his fairly useful Flat form, ran below that level sent hurdling but shaped as if he'd come on for the experience despite having been very strong in the betting beforehand; mid-field, not always fluent, awkward 3 out, ran green approaching last, left behind by winner soon after, lost second late on; in excellent hands and should improve.

showed more than first time up over timber, seemingly running to a modest level, though this isn't solid form; not fluent second, outpaced 4 out, left behind after next, merely plugged on.

in first-time tongue strap (had breathing problem on stable debut), fared little better than last time and would probably have been beaten further in a more truly-run race; held up, ridden home turn, never dangerous.

Nothing out of the ordinary for this northern juvenile despite the prize money on offer, 5 of the 6 no better than fair on the Flat, a steady pace set by the winner ensuring that some limited types weren't beaten all that far.
