A fairly useful handicap in which they finished quite well bunched, so it's about picking out the interesting performances, Spring Offensive value for extra after idling having looked in control over 1f out, while the third and fifth are also worthy of extra credit, Camakasi not knocked about as he closed up from behind and Green Howard meeting trouble; the pace was sound.

SPRING OFFENSIVE (IRE) the sole 3-y-o, has more than held his own against his own age group this year, and probably appreciated taking on his elders for the first time as he finally got off the mark for the season, value for extra on the day too; chased leaders, went on 2f out, quickened clear 1f out and soon well in control, probably idling as he was closed down late on; the race 1f out, probably paints a truer picture of his superiority and with that in mind, should go well again.

SILVER RIME (FR) ran at least as well as last time, clearly in as good a nick as he has been for a while; slowly into stride, held up, effort over 2f out, ran on; he's never been a prolific winner however.

CAMAKASI (IRE) confirmed impressions from last time and he wasted no time getting back to form; typically slowly into stride, patiently ridden, shaken up over 2f out, kept on, hands-and-heels ride; still relatively unexposed, this just his fifth start of the year.

SHAHDAROBA (IRE) turned in best effort of season, though having every chance and getting a clearer run than one or 2; mid-field, effort 3f out, one paced.

GREEN HOWARD runner-up at Ripon last time, shaped as if still in good form, not seen to best effect, shaping second best on the day just about; held up, good headway on inner over 3f out, short of room over 2f out then hampered again over 1f out, switched wide and ran on late, finished with running left after unsuited by the way the race developed; remains one to be interested in.

IFWECAN whose last run is easily excused, and he wasn't disgraced considering he's being kept busy, also the case that the leaders pressed on soon enough; chased leader, challenged over 2f out, weakened inside final 100 yds.

RODRIGO DE TORRES was chasing a 4-timer but had his winning run ended, though not seen to best effect; led until over 2f out, weakened inside final 100 yds, ridden too aggressively; type to bounce back quickly.

FLYMAN upped in trip, wasn't again well below the form shown for Ripon success; mid-field, hampered 2f out, no extra, not persevered with once held.

EUTROPIUS (IRE) has lost his way for now; prominent, lost place 3f out.
