LOUGH DERG SPIRIT (IRE) whose last form is working out very well, got back on track in first-time cheekpieces returning to front-running tactics in a much lesser contest; raced clear, jumped left, headed after eighth, led again tenth, drew clear after 4 out, in command after 2 out, just kept up to work; he will be better suited going left-handed.

LILLINGTON (IRE) in a change of headgear and back under a fully-fledged rider, took a step back in the right direction after 7 weeks off, though he'd have been no better than third had the others stood up; chased leader, jumped left, led after eighth, headed again tenth, ridden entering straight, pressed when left second 2 out.

OXWICH BAY (IRE) looks on a good mark but was once again let down by jumping and will surely be back over hurdles soon; held up, good progress end of back straight, closing when blundered 3 out, fell 2 out.

PETIVILLE (FR) fairly useful over hurdles (though seemingly hard to train of late), was in the process of running poorly when departing on chasing debut after another 3 months off; mid-field, lost place back straight (first off bridle), behind when unseated rider 3 out.

STAMP YOUR FEET (IRE) was in the process of running below the form he'd show on debut in this sphere when departing; mid-field, shaken up third, headway under pressure briefly home turn, held (last of those still standing) when brought down 2 out.
