improved further to complete the hat-trick, still unbeaten when completing over fences, though he was far from error free this time; made running, went with zest, not fluent third, briefly headed when mistake eighth, pressed on entering straight, another mistake 3 out, not fluent next, in command last; likely to continue in form so long as he brushes up his jumping.

was back over fences and ran better than for a while, though it was once again pretty laboured stuff; in rear, ridden between 5 out and 4 out, headway early in straight, merely plugged on.

patiently ridden this time, wasn't disgraced back down in trip, shaping as though a return to around 2½m would suit; held up, outpaced 5 out, closing when clouted 3 out, duelled for second but no further impression on winner.

A most disappointing turnout for this valuable handicap chase, the in-form Speredek making most and running out a convincing winner.

SPEREDEK (FR) improved further to complete the hat-trick, still unbeaten when completing over fences, though he was far from error free this time; made running, went with zest, not fluent third, briefly headed when mistake eighth, pressed on entering straight, another mistake 3 out, not fluent next, in command last; likely to continue in form so long as he brushes up his jumping.

WORKBENCH (FR) was back over fences and ran better than for a while, though it was once again pretty laboured stuff; in rear, ridden between 5 out and 4 out, headway early in straight, merely plugged on.

RED SPINNER (IRE) patiently ridden this time, wasn't disgraced back down in trip, shaping as though a return to around 2½m would suit; held up, outpaced 5 out, closing when clouted 3 out, duelled for second but no further impression on winner.
