went one better than at Newcastle, but was seen to maximum effect; dictated, quickened entering straight, rider dropped whip 1f out, always holding on, very much had the run of the race in a tactical affair; will be vulnerable off higher marks.

back in handicap company and confirmed recent improvement, running creditably; chased leader, pushed along 3f out, kept on; was better placed than most, though, so likely to remain vulnerable for win purposes.

shaped better than the bare result, left poorly placed in a messy race; waited with, travelled fluently, shaken up entering straight, tended to lug left but kept on well final 100 yds and never nearer; has a good record around here and will continue to give a good account.

ran to a similar level to last time; mid-division, pushed along home turn, headway under pressure 1f out, kept on; not ideally placed and may yet do better, his career just 5 starts old after all, but it is starting to look as if he's not so well handicapped as his Chelmsford second suggests.

A useful handicap but flimsy form due to how it developed, the winner dictating and seen to maximum effect whilst the next 6 home were separated by less than a length, all those who came from mid-field or further back disadvantaged to varying degrees.

SWIFT APPROVAL (IRE) went one better than at Newcastle, but was seen to maximum effect; dictated, quickened entering straight, rider dropped whip 1f out, always holding on, very much had the run of the race in a tactical affair; will be vulnerable off higher marks.

EARLY MORNING (IRE) back in handicap company and confirmed recent improvement, running creditably; chased leader, pushed along 3f out, kept on; was better placed than most, though, so likely to remain vulnerable for win purposes.

MR SCARAMANGA back down in trip, ran well, wasting no time confirming himself still in form; chased leader, pushed along 2f out, every chance over 1f out, kept on, well positioned.

SHYRON shaped better than the bare result, left poorly placed in a messy race; waited with, travelled fluently, shaken up entering straight, tended to lug left but kept on well final 100 yds and never nearer; has a good record around here and will continue to give a good account.

SUZI'S CONNOISSEUR back up in trip, ran creditably despite leaving the impression he'd have benefited from a stronger gallop; mid-division, shaken up home turn, kept on.

MYSTIQUE MOON ran to a similar level to last time; mid-division, pushed along home turn, headway under pressure 1f out, kept on; not ideally placed and may yet do better, his career just 5 starts old after all, but it is starting to look as if he's not so well handicapped as his Chelmsford second suggests.

RIGHT TOUCH wasn't disgraced, but never threatened to snap his losing streak; mid-division, pushed along home turn, not quicken.

UNFORGIVING MINUTE offered little; blindfold removed late, in rear, raced freely, pushed along home turn, never a threat.
