was turned out again quickly having made a mockery of his mark in a handicap over C&D on Saturday and completed the hat-trick without too much fuss, is clearly improving in leaps and bounds, that the point to focus on rather than any tactical advantage he might have had on the day; dictated, shaken up home turn, briefly challenged by runner-up inside final 1f but kept going well to make all, extending his advantage again at the line; sure to go well again if continuing in this vein of form, connections entitled to be aiming him at the 3-y-o Mile on Good Friday now.

was possibly unsuited by the soft ground when beaten in listed company at Pontefract on his final start last year, and back on all-weather after 12 weeks off, was right back on track, though beaten without too many excuses, this seemingly as good as he is for now; in touch, headway on inner home turn, challenged inside final 1f, no extra late on.

stood out on the form of his C&D win last time but ran below form, not sure to have beaten the winner however things panned out, but severely hampering his chance by hanging right on the final bend; chased leader, hung right home turn, shuffled back, not quicken straight; this at least qualifies him for the 3-y-o Mile on Good Friday.

in a first-time tongue strap, had something to find and wasn't disgraced on his first outing since leaving W. P. Browne/after 7 weeks off, particularly as he seemed not to handle the downhill stretch of the track at all well; slowly into stride, held up, pushed along 3f out, looked awkward coming down hill on run to home turn, made no impression.

An interesting contest despite the small field and Hombre Rojo confirmed that he's one of the most progressive 3-y-os on the scene at the moment, readily following up his handicap win from the weekend, confirming that he's a useful colt, no doubt best on the day regardless of any positiional advantage he held by dictating.
