went one better than in this race last year, given a good tactical ride and not needing to be at her absolute best to gain a first listed win, laid out for this after finishing well held at Royal Ascot; prominent, pushed along 3f out, led under pressure inside final 1f, ridden out; she's qualified for the Finals after this, though retirement to the paddocks may well be a more likely option.

ought to have won, on her first start in 7 months, overdone tactics rather than lack of an outing her undoing; held up, not settle fully, smooth headway early in straight, ridden over 1f out, kept on well, left with too much to do; she remains open to improvement and ought to have a successful winter on synthetics.

was below the form she showed at Ascot, but shaped better than the bare result in a race that wasn't nearly so well run, left with too much to do and likely to run to her form last time another day; in rear, still plenty to do early in straight, headway over 1f out, not clear run inside final 1f, not knocked about, never on terms; one to be interested in.

A useful listed event, a fast-track qualifier for the AW Championships, though it's far from certain that the winner will be aimed at Finals day, with the paddocks a more likely option; her win owed much to a good tactical ride in a messy race, suggesting the form may not be that solid, the runner-up getting going too late from a poor position.

LAMAR (IRE) went one better than in this race last year, given a good tactical ride and not needing to be at her absolute best to gain a first listed win, laid out for this after finishing well held at Royal Ascot; prominent, pushed along 3f out, led under pressure inside final 1f, ridden out; she's qualified for the Finals after this, though retirement to the paddocks may well be a more likely option.

ALFAJER was below the form she showed at Ascot, but shaped better than the bare result in a race that wasn't nearly so well run, left with too much to do and likely to run to her form last time another day; in rear, still plenty to do early in straight, headway over 1f out, not clear run inside final 1f, not knocked about, never on terms; one to be interested in.
