found a big chunk of improvement to register a fourth win of the season, impressive in running right away with it in the straight, a well-run race over a slightly shorter trip bringing out the best in him; dropped out, headway on bridle 3 out, led 2 out, soon clear; his mark will take a big hit, but this form will see him competitive in graded novices.

well-in under a penalty, couldn't justify favouritism but remains in good form, as much as anything unlucky to bump into one, though perhaps less testing conditions didn't suit as well; pressed leader, travelled well, led after 3 out, headed next, one paced, no match for winner, did best of those ridden close up.

back over hurdles for handicap debut, ran respectably and is entitled to sharpen up for the run having been off for 11 weeks, still time for him to make up into the smart performer he threatened to be on occasions last season; held up, headway under pressure 3 out, chased leaders home turn, one paced.

Not the most competitive handicap for the grade with over half returning from at least 2 months off, though the runner-up's well-being wasn't in any question and it took a borderline smart effort from the winner to leave him trailing from 2 out; a good gallop meant patient tactics were no bad thing, while most of the field avoided the inside.

KALONDRA (IRE) found a big chunk of improvement to register a fourth win of the season, impressive in running right away with it in the straight, a well-run race over a slightly shorter trip bringing out the best in him; dropped out, headway on bridle 3 out, led 2 out, soon clear; his mark will take a big hit, but this form will see him competitive in graded novices.
