was very much in the mood and resumed winning ways after 8 days off, making the most of his falling mark, but he's not often so willing, which tempers enthusiasm for him backing this up for all he'll make appeal under a penalty from a handicapping perspective; held up, travelled fluently, headway fifth, led ninth, headed eleventh, led again 2 out, kept going well.

again ran well despite a couple of mistakes, going through a good spell at the moment, a bit unlucky to bump into the well-treated winner on a going day; held up, travelled well, slow 5 out, mistake 4 out, headway 2 out, not quicken; likely to continue in form.

Just the 4 runners in this handicap chase but the first 2 are on competitive marks and showed fairly useful form, with the quirky winner clearly very much on a going day; the pace was sound.

FREDO (IRE) was very much in the mood and resumed winning ways after 8 days off, making the most of his falling mark, but he's not often so willing, which tempers enthusiasm for him backing this up for all he'll make appeal under a penalty from a handicapping perspective; held up, travelled fluently, headway fifth, led ninth, headed eleventh, led again 2 out, kept going well.

FERGAL MAEL DUIN again ran well despite a couple of mistakes, going through a good spell at the moment, a bit unlucky to bump into the well-treated winner on a going day; held up, travelled well, slow 5 out, mistake 4 out, headway 2 out, not quicken; likely to continue in form.

ARBEO (IRE) wasn't in the same form as last time; led second, headed ninth, led again eleventh, headed 2 out, weakened.

TAKE THE MICK was up another 8 lb and found run of good form coming to a halt after 5 weeks off, going with little fluency; led until second, lost place halfway, beaten long way out.
