still looked fairly treated after a 5 lb rise for winning last time and improved further to follow up; chased leader, jumped soundly, went with zest, jumped on 3 out, shaken up home turn, driven out, suited by emphasis on stamina; will remain of interest.

put a luckless effort behind him and showed improved form; jumped well waited with, travelled fluently, headway from 5 out, ridden after 2 out, kept on, clear of rest; has plenty of ability but a poor strike-rate tempers enthusiasm.

shaped as if as good as ever after 4 months off; forced pace, untidy twelfth, headed 3 out, no extra from next as positive ride told (went off too hard); still lightly raced as a chaser, he's one to be interested in with this behind him.

after just 6 days off, clearly wasn't in anything like the same form as last time, even allowing for the fact he doesn't want this far; went in snatches in touch, lost place when pecked 4 out, tailed off next.
